Myopia Care For Kids
The optometrists at Sand City Vision believe that early intervention is key to a lifetime for great vision. There is no cure for progressive myopia. However, we can provide options to manage or slow down the progression of your child's myopia.

Why Myopia Matters
Currently, one-third of the US population has been diagnosed with myopia and it is thought that by 2050, 50% of the population will be myopic. As myopia increases, the risk for eye diseases also increases, such as retinal detachment, myopic macular degeneration, and glaucoma. The goal of myopia management is to slow eye growth and reduce the associated risks.
Myopia Treatments
The optometrists at Sand City Vision can help create an individualized treatment plan that is best fit for your child. This could be done with soft multifocal contact lenses or low-dose atropine eye drops that can be used nightly. If you have any questions, please contact our office.

-
Is your child already myopic?
-
Are you (the parent(s)) myopic?
-
Does your child spend a lot of time doing close work?
